PM101: Leadership & Management

Ever wondered about the differences between leadership and management? In many ways, each is important to the well-being of an orthopedic practice. This module is designed to lay a foundation for front line staff around the basics of leadership & management and to highlight their complementary roles within a healthcare organization. 

We’ll cover basic leadership styles and philosophies, the different responsibilities of managers vs supervisors, and then focus on everyday leadership and followership for staff. You will leave with an appreciation of the ethics of participation and gain an understanding that each practice develops its own culture and leadership style. 

Learning Objectives 

When the learner has completed this module, they will be able to: 

Describe the major leadership styles.
Differentiate between leadership and management.
Act as an engaged follower by understanding their own role as a leader.

She currently holds the role of Director of Revenue Strategy at Southcentral Foundation. Olivia's professional repertoire is underscored by her profound knowledge in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, and clinical operations.
